Dean Farwell is a Senior Prototyping Associate at Protostudios where he is the primary operator of the waterjet and laser cutter. He also works in the electronics lab to design and assemble custom PCBs, provides 3D printer support, and assists other students in the machine shop.

Dean is a senior studying Computer Science and Engineering and graduated Spring of 2022. His interests are in both software and hardware, especially with embedded systems and database integration. Prior to and outside of Protostudios, Dean has experience with engineering testing procedures, software design, 3D modeling, embedded systems, and more.

Dean moved on to work as an Embedded Engineer at Athena GTX in Johnston, IA.
